economy by building business and relationships, promoting the community and
representing local concerns with our county government.

Position Overview
The Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is seeking a dynamic and
relationship-focused President to lead the organization into its next chapter.
The President serves as the business and community advocate of the Chamber, strengthening
relationships with members, local businesses, and community partners. This role focuses on
growing membership value, engagement, and retention while ensuring the Chamber remains a
respected and trusted voice for the Evergreen business community.
The President manages day-to-day operations, programs, and staff, working closely with the
Chamber Board of Directors to advance long-term strategic goals and ensure financial stability.

Key Responsibilities
Member & Community Engagement (Top Priority)
 Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Chamber members, foster
meaningful connections, and providing consistent support.
 Develop and implement strategies for membership growth and retention.
 Increase the visibility of the Chamber through consistent outreach, community presence,
and promoting member businesses.
 Create and support programs, events, and initiatives that deliver clear, tangible benefits
to members.
 Act as the Chamber’s ambassador—engaging regularly with business owners, nonprofits,
and community leaders to foster collaboration and growth.
Leadership & Strategy
 Work with the Board of Directors to define and execute the Chamber’s strategic vision
and goals.
 Manage a team of staff and volunteers with clarity, collaboration, and accountability.

 Serve as the Chamber’s chief spokesperson and public representative.
Operations & Financial Management
 Manage the day-to-day operations of the Chamber in alignment with its mission and
vision.
 Prepare and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Finance Committee.
 Oversee fiscal responsibility and long-term sustainability of the organization.
 Lead the monthly Finance Committee meeting.
Communication & Advocacy
 Communicate the Chamber’s initiatives, programs, and value clearly and consistently to
the membership and community.
 Represent the interests of the Evergreen business community with Jefferson County
government and other key partners.
 Leverage social media, local media, and public platforms to elevate the Chamber’s
visibility and impact.
 Provide guidance to Leads groups to enhance member engagement.
 Establish an Ambassador program to champion and support Chamber members and
activities.

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate is a relationship builder and community advocate who is equally
comfortable in a boardroom or at a ribbon-cutting. They bring both strategic vision and genuine
enthusiasm for helping local businesses thrive.
Preferred background includes experience in:
 Organizational or nonprofit leadership
 Business or chamber management
 Community and economic development
 Marketing, communications, and relationship building
 Financial management and budgeting
 Familiarity with county and state government processes
Education/Skills:
 Bachelor’s degree preferred.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite, and familiarity with QuickBooks
reporting.

 Public speaking skills necessary.
Pay and Benefits:
 Salary range: $75,000-$95,000
 Benefits include stipend for car allowance, cell phone, retirement plan, health insurance,
and paid time off
Additional Considerations:
 Understanding of or experience with the Evergreen, CO business community is highly
valued.
 Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Evergreen area preferred.
